Check if the Apple Product is Genuine or Not, and Apple Care Status?
First and foremost thing while buying (or even after) an Apple Product is, to check if it is genuine or not. This can be checked easily, by visiting the official apple website, along with this you will also get info about any Apple Care plan linked that apple product. Here’s how you can check it:
- Go to the Check Coverage page on Apple website
- Enter the serial number of the device (this can be found on the Apple Product, and on the invoice)
- Now, type in the captcha code.
- Once the serial number is verified by Apple, you will see the details about your product purchase and Apple Care Plus coverage.
Check Apple Care Status of Existing Apple Products
If you want to check the status of Apple Care Plus, on your existing Apple Products linked to your Apple ID, then you can do it by following the below mentioned steps.
- Go to the Get Support Page on Apple website
- Login with your Apple ID
- Under the My Devices section, you will see all your Apple Products linked to your ID. Products with a little Apple logo on top right, are covered under Apple Care Plus. Note: You can not access this support page directly from Apple’s Website, so access it from the direct link given above.
Buy Or Check Apple Care Status of Existing Apple Products
Another method to check the status of Apple Care Plus or even buy one, for your existing Apple Products linked to your Apple ID, then you can do it by following the below mentioned steps.
- Go to the My Support Page on Apple website
- Login with your Apple ID
- Under the My Devices section, you will see all your Apple Products linked to your ID, along with the serial number.
- You will see an Apple Care Plus icon with products covered under the Apple Care Plus plan. Click on them to see more details like coverage expiry date. Along with this, you can buy a care plan for un-covered products from the My devices page. Note: You cannot access the support page from My Account page of Apple’s Website, you can only access it from the link given above.
Bonus: Check the Apple Care Plus Certificate
You can also check the Apple Care Plus certificate, to know the status and expiry of the care plan for your Apple product. This certificate can be found on the email ID, you have mentioned at the time purchase at the outlet or portal. It’s subject will be marked as Apple Care Proof of Coverage, you can find the expiry date in the attached certificate.
