When you move towards the inside away from the thin bezels and full HD display, the device seems lot less glorious than Note 3. The phone is powered by MT6589T turbo processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and is backed by 2 GB RAM and 8 GB Internal memory. The imaging hardware includes 13 MP rear shooter capable of full HD recording and also a 2 MP front camera for video recording. The 3400 mAh battery will give 18 hours of talk time on 3G and 360 hours of standby time, which is better than other MT6589 series devices that we have seen. Alcatel One Touch Hero is expected to be priced around 20,000 INR.
The Alactal One Touch Idol S on the other hand features 4.7 inch full HD display with HD resolution and smudge resistant Oleophobic coating and Dragon Trail Glass. It runs on dated 1.2 GHz MT6577 dual core cortex A9 chipset with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The 8 MP AF camera is capable of Full HD 1080p video recording and comes with LED flash support. A front 1.3 MP camera is also present for video recording. Battery capacity is 2000 mAh and will give you 8 hours 30 minutes of talk time on 3G and 6 hours on 2G. Both of these smartphones pose last generation hardware and for Alactel to make its mark, it will have to keep the price in check. With Octa core phones available under 20,000 INR, it will be tough for Alcatel to price it right.
