Use Virtual Backgrounds on Google Meet

Before moving forward, note that custom background on Google Meet is currently available on the web only and will come to Android and iOS apps soon. Also, it is not available for G suite uses. The process to change backgrounds on Google Meet is pretty simple. 1] Go to meet.google.com and join or start a meeting. When you are on a video call, click on the 3-dot menu on the bottom-right, and choose “Change Background“.

2] From here, you can select any virtual background of your choice. You have the option to blur the background with a variety of background images just like cafes, beaches, etc.

3] If you want to add your own custom image on Google Meet then click on the “+” button and upload an image from your computer. The image must be in JPG format and the size should be of max 16MB. Also, as of now, it does not support videos as custom backgrounds.
