According to HTC leaker LlabTooFeR, the high-end variant will be available only in selected countries. Fortunately, India is one among them along with other countries like China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines. However, he suggested that the list not final and there is a chance some other countries may also find a place in the list. If it turns out to be true, it will be the first phone in India to come with 6GB RAM from a non-Chinese manufacturer. On the other hand, some OEMs like Asus and Nubia have launched phones with 8GB RAM. OnePlus 5 will also reportedly come with 8GB RAM.
HTC U11 Specifications
To recap, HTC U11 feature a 5.5 inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood it runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chip-set paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It comes with either 64GB or 128GB of non-expandable storage.
On the rear, the HTC U11 houses a 12 MP camera with 5 axis-OIS, EIS, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4μm pixel, BSI sensor, dual LED flash and always-on HDR Boost feature. On the front, it has got a 16-megapixel front camera with BSI sensor. The rear camera can shoot slow-motion and 4K video recording.

It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with company’s own Sense UI on top. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and company claims that it can give 14 days of standby time. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC support and USB 3.1 Type-C port. The device comes with a uni-body design and sports 3D glass both on the front and back of the device. The phone also features a front mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone also has lots of audio enhancing features like HTC USonic earbuds with active noise cancellation, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, 3D audio recording with four microphones, and Hi-res audio certified.
