Intel to bring 360 degree and 8K video streaming to 2020 Olympics
Intel provided over 3800 TB of network capacity via 5G at the Winter Olympics Games 2018. The company has promised to bring the same 5G experience to the 2020 Olympics Games to enable “new experiences” at the event which is going to happen in Tokyo. Some of the highlights include 360 degrees and 8K video streaming in real time.
Intel is also going to provide a second layer of security by enabling faster facial recognition which will help by developing fully connected cars which are capable of streaming 4K video over 5G while moving. The athletics and participants at the 2020 Olympics games will also be able to experience the 5G technologies. The participants will get the 5G enabled wearables and fitness wearables. Intel also promised the “eHealth equipment and AR/VR simulations.” The 5G is term Intel used to describe the 5th generation of wireless mobile networks. The 5G system will provide a refined 4G standard by increasing the network efficiency and will support the IoT (Internet of Things) enabled devices. The 5G standards will also allow operating in the millimeter wave bands up to 60Hz; this will offer very low latency and fantastic bandwidth. Talking about the 5G technology, Intel is planning to bring this technology to the laptops by 2019.
