iPhone SE Specifications

[table id=450 /] The iPhone SE is the comeback of Apple in the 4-inch compact smartphone world once again. This phone has been in the rumors for a long time now and finally, we saw it launch. It features a 4-inch Retina display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 64-bit Apple A9 chip, and 2GB of RAM. In terms of the internal storage, the phone comes in two variants, 16GB and 64GB, both available in four different colours, Gold, Silver, Space Gray and Rose Gold. The camera on the phone is a 12-megapixel iSight camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The front camera on the phone is a 5-megapixel shooter with Retina Flash.

In terms of the operating system running on the phone, the phone runs iOS 9.3 out of the box, the latest version of iOS that was announced yesterday at the Apple event. This new version of iOS brings features like Night Shift to the iOS. Night Shift reduces the amount of blue light coming from your phone’s display in order to protect your eyes when using the smartphone at night.

Pricing and Availability

The Apple iPhone SE is priced at 39,000 INR for the 16GB. The pricing for the 64GB variant is still not available but the phone is expected to be priced at 48,000 INR according to a few sources. The phone will go on sale in over 3000 stores across the country starting 8th April. Pre-Orders for the phones will begin on 29th March.

Conclusion

The Apple iPhone SE was priced at USD 399 and USD 499 for the 16GB and 64GB variant, but the news that they will be priced at 39,000 INR is surprising. We had expected the phone to be priced around 30,000 INR. 39,000 INR roughly translates to over USD 580, which seems like a really high price for the iPhone SE, when the iPhone 6 is available in the market for a similar price.
