The Q6 series is supposed to be the first in the mid-range category to feature minimal bezels. The devices will sport a 5.5-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. LG has not revealed the pricing of the handsets yet. The devices will available for sale in select Asian markets from August.
LG Q6 Specifications
All the LG Q6 variants will feature a 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with its 18:9 aspect ratio. It has a screen resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels along with a pixel density of 442 PPI. The smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset. Talking about software, the handsets run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with LG’s UX 6.0 skin on top. The Q6 devices are powered by a non-removable 3000 mAh battery.
When it comes to storage and memory, the base model Q6 packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The LG Q6+ comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. While the low-end model LG Q6α comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the smartphones feature a 13MP rear camera with a single LED flash. The smartphones sport a 5 MP front camera with 100-degree wide angle. You can include a large group of friends or family in a single selfie shot without effort. On the connectivity front, the devices will support LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-B 2.0. The devices will also have LG’s own Face Recognition feature. That allows owners to unlock the device faster and without any hassle. Unfortunately, the Q6 series won’t feature the fingerprint sensor. All these devices come in Astro Black and Ice Platinum colors. However, the LG Q6 also comes in Mystic White and Terra Gold colors. Similarly, the Q6α is also available in Terra Gold color. While the Q6+ is having a Marine Blue color variant also.
The Q series is the LG’s latest line of mid-range smartphones that has many important features of the company’s premium phones like the LG G6. Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said, “The LG Q6 is a blend of premium features, great performance, and attractive pricing, a combination that is extremely important to us as we look at the way consumers are using smartphones around the world.”
Pricing and Availability
The company hasn’t yet revealed anything about pricing but as per the above-mentioned statement, it will be a mid-range phone. The LG Q6 variants will go on sale first in Asia starting next month to be followed by Europe, and other markets as well.
