Both the Snapdragon 660 and 630 come with tons of enhancements over their predecessors. However, it is the former which steals the show. The Snapdragon 660 is a premium midrange SoC which can even put flagship chipsets to shame. The 64-bit octa-core chipset packs eight Kyro 260 cores running up to 2.2 GHz. In terms of multi-core performance, the Snapdragon 660 can surpass even the Snapdragon 821. However, the latter would post a better single-core result due to its Kyro 280 CPU which is more powerful than the Kyro 260 of the former. Nevertheless, the SD 660 has lots of other things that matches the flagship Snapdragon 820 / 821. Coming to the Qualcomm 630, it is a power efficient mid-range SoC with top notch connectivity options. The successor of the Snapdragon 625 is mainly aimed at affordable mid-range smartphones. It offers features similar to the Snapdragon 660 while being significantly less powerful.
