This year, the company has already witnessed the success of smartphones like Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3s Prime. With this, Xiaomi’s enthusiasts are already excited for the upcoming next phone in the lineup and the company might start the year 2017 with a bang by introducing Redmi Note 4.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Specifications

The Redmi Note 4 is already being sold in the Chinese market since August and features 2.5D curved glass on top, unibody metal design with chamfered edges. The overall design is quite similar to its predecessor Redmi Note 3 and the upcoming phone will be available in two variants which include 16 GB storage with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage with 3GB RAM. The base variant is expected to have a price tag of Rs 9,000 while the top of the line model will hold a sticker price of Rs 12,000. Considering the other specifications of the upcoming phone, Redmi Note 4 is likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 625 SoC processor. Camera duties will be handled by 13-megapixel rear with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support, accompanying it is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. Battery support includes a 4,100 mAh pack, which according to Xiaomi is capable enough to last for a day on single charge. The connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid system), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under MIUI 8. Redmi Note 3 was a great hit in the Indian market, this is clearly reflected through the number of phone shipped in Q2 of 2016, having crossed 8,80,000 units. Looking at this success, the expectations from the Redmi Note 4 are already high and we expect that Xiaomi will witness the similar success with the phone. But, it is just an expectation and the real result will be out when the phone will hit the Indian market.
