Samsung is one of the few companies that still launches flip smartphones. To recall, the company has also launched the SM-G9298 flip phone in China back in August. The Korean giant is now preparing to launch a successor to the W2017 that was launched last year. The leaked images of the upcoming SM-W2018 were posted by a Twitter user as reported by SamMobile. The SM-W2018 sports a dual-screen design on the front and the inside with qwerty keypad. The display also shows the Samsung logo with a model number which makes the renders convincing.
Samsung SM-W2018 Specifications
The upcoming Samsung SM-W2018 phone is likely to have flagship-level specifications, if the leaked images are to be believed. As for the display, it will feature both the external and internal displays with bezels while there is an alphanumeric keypad inside. Reports suggest that it may come with two 4.2 inch full HD displays.
If we talk about the build, the pictures suggest that the W2018 will come with a brushed metal design. The back of the SM-W2018 looks to be made of glass as we can easily see fingerprint smudges on the back panel. The rear camera is placed right at the center of the upper half with LED flash on its left and a fingerprint scanner on the right. In the hardware department, the phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage. As for imaging, the phone is said to feature a 12MP rear and a 5MP front camera. It houses a 2,300mAh battery. As of now, there is no official confirmation about the latest flip phone from Samsung. Also, just like the SM-G9298, the upcoming SM-W2018 is also expected to be exclusively for the Chinese market. With such premium features and design, the phone is expected to come with a price tag of around $2,000.
