The Xperia Z3 Tablet is given an 8 inch FHD TRILUMINOS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and uses the X-Reality and Live Color LED technologies to enhance the clarity. Under the hood, the slate operates a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor ticking at 2.5 GHz clock speed. This processor is aided by Adreno 330 graphics unit and 3 GB of RAM that can take charge of multi-tasking efficiently. Storage wise, the Sony’s third generation tablet packs in 16 GB of default storage capacity that can be expanded externally using a micro SD card. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact boasts of an 8.1 MP primary snapper at its back with auto focus, image stabilization and a 2.2 MP front-facing selfie camera for video calling at FHD 1080p. The other goodies of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, MHL, USB OTG, 3G and optional 4G LTE connectivity aspects. There is a digital noise canceling feature called Sony Front Surround Audio technology that can minimize up to 98% of ambient noise when using the headset. Also, there is a 4,500 mAh battery that is believed to provide a backup of up to 13 hours.
Some of the notable features of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat powered slate include PlayStation 4 Remote Play Feature, DSEE HX technology to upscale the fidelity of MP3s and AAC files for the best possible audio output, IP65/IP68 certifications for water and dust resistance and more. For now, the Japan based tech firm has not revealed any official word regarding the pricing or availability of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and we need to wait to know about these details.
